Brief biography: Roumiana L. Stantcheva is a University Professor, Dr. Sc., at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. She is the author of monographs on Comparative Literature; founder of the Academic Circle for Comparative Literature and its first president (2001–2011); member of the Scientific Council of the Society for Studies on the Theory and Practice of Translation (SEPTET), Strasbourg; member of the board of the Bulgarian Translators’ Union.
