She gradu\u00adated in Ger\u00adman Stud\u00adies from the&nbsp; Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Sofia St. Kli\u00adment Ohrid\u00adski in 1970. She taught Ger\u00adman Lin\u00adguist\u00adics and Trans\u00adla\u00adtion Stud\u00adies at Kon\u00adstantin Preslavsky Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Shumen from 1974 to 2014. She com\u00adpleted her doc\u00adtor\u00adal research at Leipzig Uni\u00adver\u00adsity, Ger\u00admany in 1979; in 2006, she was awar\u00added the title of Dr. Habil in The\u00adory and Prac\u00adtice of Trans\u00adla\u00adtion, and, since 2007, she has been full pro\u00adfessor of Ger\u00adman Stud\u00adies. As a&nbsp;vis\u00adit\u00ading pro\u00adfess\u00ador she also taught at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Veliko Turnovo, the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Sofia, Plov\u00addiv Uni\u00adver\u00adsity, and New Bul\u00adgari\u00adan Uni\u00adver\u00adsity. She taught Bul\u00adgari\u00adan Lan\u00adguage and Cul\u00adture at Lud\u00adwig Max\u00adimili\u00adan Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Munich, Ger\u00admany, from 1998 to 2001.
